Health is one of life’s greatest treasures. If we don’t take care of our bodies, we won’t be able to perform any activity at all. Recently, there are many threats to our health. Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be an ongoing problem for people worldwide. It hasn’t been proven to cure anything. We must not be silent when faced with this deadly virus. Choosing which foods we eat each day isn’t always easy but choosing them wisely is important for our health. Nutrition helps support the health of the body by providing nutrients and vitamins from foods. It’s important to understand which foods are healthy and which ones aren’t so we don’t eat anything harmful. These are some foods that we need to avoid if we want to stay healthy.

Processed Meat

According to a nutritionist from London, processed meats contribute to antibiotic resistence which, if eaten constantly, causes hormone issues and disorders of insulin in the human body. If we eat too much processed meat, cardiovascular disease and diabetes may result. These two conditions are caused when people consume large amounts of processed meats. It keeps meats from spoiling by preventing them from drying out. Furthermore, these chemical additives are also added for flavoring and coloring purposes. Cancer arises when certain chemicals called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) enter our bodies through processed meats.

InstaNoodles

It may sound good but eating too much of it could prove fatal. It was found by a research study that people who consume instant noodles at least two times per week have an elevated risk for developing Metabolic Syndrome which includes high blood pressure, abnormal levels of glucose (blood sugar), bad cholesterol and excess body fat. Unchecked, this condition could lead to other serious health issues including heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.

Trans Fat

Unsaturated fats are similar in nature to their saturated counterparts due to the chemical structures they contain. Eating too much saturated fats may cause us to lose some of the good cholesterol in our bodies. Trans fats contain lots of unhealthy saturated fats.

Sugar

Sugars don’t contain any essential vitamins or minerals. Sugar causes high blood pressure by increasing levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) in our bodies. Sugar provides energy for us, but too much of it causes fat in our bodies to accumulate, which is harmful because heart diseases, diabetes, high blood pressure and even cancer are threats for our health.
